The design and development of digital educational material for Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is another central field of activity for the Environmental Education Laboratory. EEL supports the use of digital technologies in the production of educational material not only to facilitate the access and dissemination of relevant educational material to a greater number of students and teachers, but also to promote innovation, collaboration and creativity in pedagogy and learning for the environment and sustainability.

With the EE / ESD framework of principles and objectives firmly in place, the EEL “experiments” with specific pedagogical, adding-value, digital technologies and tools, which can enhance teachers' and students' better understanding, as well as critical and creative thinking of concepts such as EE and ESD.
