The design and development of digital educational materials for Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) represents a key area of focus for the Environmental Education Lab  (EEL). The EEL fosters the integration of digital technologies in the creation of educational resources to enhance accessibility and dissemination, thereby reaching a larger audience of students and educators. Furthermore, it aims to stimulate innovation, collaboration, and creativity in pedagogical approaches to learning about the environment and sustainability.

Grounded in a comprehensive framework of principles and objectives for EE and ESD, the EEL actively engages in the exploration of adding-value pedagogical techniques and digital tools that can deepen the understanding of these concepts among teachers and students, while also promoting critical and creative thinking.
