Objectives

The objectives established and pursued by the Environmental Education Lab are as follows:

  • Fostering research and academic collaboration in the fields of Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
  • Providing training for undergraduate and postgraduate students on topics related to EE and ESD.
  • Offering initial and ongoing professional development for teachers in EE and ESD.
  • Promoting lifelong environmental awareness and providing training for the general population.
  • Offering scientific support and consulting services to organisations, agencies, individuals, and groups that advocate for EE and ESD through their initiatives and actions.
  • Establishing partnerships and exchanging best practices with other institutions, centres, organisations, and groups at national, European, and international levels concerning EE and ESD.
  • Contributing to the development of networks and communities of practice among individuals, groups, and organisations dedicated to advancing EE and ESD.
  • Creating pedagogical materials, both printed and digital, for EE and ESD within formal, non-formal, and lifelong learning contexts.
  • Participating in discussions regarding the development of national and European educational policies related to the research and promotion of EE and ESD.
